With its innovative GEN 4.0 window fitting the Lüdenscheid Aluminium system house Hueck GmbH & Co. KG has set a paradigm shift for metalworking companies in motion. Not only is this German-made fitting for the Euro groove matchless in terms of mounting speed – even for the concealed model – but it also only takes a few steps to retrofit it to RC 2 and it can be dismantled non-destructively.
The simpler and faster it is to handle, the better and more efficient for the metal worker – for GEN 4.0 this maxim was carefully thought through in every detail. The new fitting was conceived for the Hueck Lambda WS 075 and WS 075 IS window systems, as well as Lambda WS 090 and WS 090 IS.
The goal uppermost in the minds of Hueck engineers was to significantly reduce the involved working time, without compromising on quality. The result: an innovative concept in which prefabricated operating rods in six different system lengths are used instead of the former standard operating rod. These lengths – which can also be combined with one another – can be used for a wide range of window sizes and do not require measurement or cutting work. With GEN 4.0 even the installation itself involves an advanced solution, because the operating rods are not inserted into the window profile, but simply clipped in. By eliminating the involved calculations for the dimensions of the operating rods as well as work to cut to the right length and hammer the profile, the new Hueck operating rod concept reduces the necessary overall working time.
Moreover, any person saves time because GEN 4.0 can be obtained in practical package sets and as preassembled parts. But Hueck has systematically simplified the work involved for many other practical details too. For example, the number of screw connections was reduced and replaced by bayonet and eccentric mounts. Also all clampable fitting parts can be placed in the fitting channel from the outside, and the gaps between the bolting were enlarged. "The systematic simplification here means that GEN 4.0 standard installation times will be three minutes," says Thomas Leimkühler, Head of Hueck product management.
