Material Innovativ 2016
Mobility in all its facets – from concepts for megacities to individual mobility, right to concepts for vehicles – is one of the key topics of the future. Here, demands in areas such as resource efficiency and CO2 reduction are increasing not only in the automotive industry, but also in the aerospace and energy engineering sectors. Creating incentives for new innovations in these areas, bringing experts together from industry and research, and establishing a platform for new contacts and project ideas – these are the main objectives of the symposium "Material innovativ 2016 – Materials and manufacturing technologies for the mobility of tomorrow ".
This is the underlying reason why, again in 2016, the annual "Material innovativ" symposium put on by the New Materials cluster of Bayern Innovativ GmbH is addressing material and manufacturing issues related to electric mobility. On 23 February 2016 leading companies and experts will talk about trends and developments for the mobility of tomorrow, with the central topics of manufacturing methods for multi-material use, and new materials for electric mobility.
"The intention of the congress is to bring together experts from various disciplines that use or develop multi-material manufacturing methods and new energy storage systems for mobility," says project head Dr. Christian Potzernheim-Zenkel, from the New Materials cluster. Aside from the focussed exchange of know-how and experience, the intention of the symposium is to identify potential for further development and application, and advance this specifically through networking activity in the cluster.
The series of talks will cover subjects such as new materials for energy engineering or joining technologies for multi-materials, as well as trends and current developments in additive manufacturing. In order to intensify and facilitate the exchange of knowledge, the symposium will also be accompanied by a technical and poster exhibition. Here, representatives of companies, scientific institutes and universities will put on a lively presentation of the newest materials, products and research results. More information at:
