The modular Hueck Lava fire protection system is the first modular system to obtain the general building inspection certification for fixed glazing and doors with a fire-resistance classification of 90 min., and with the rating "fire-resistant". With this, the manufacturer of modular systems in Lüdenscheid now offers a complete range of fire and smoke resistant products, based on just one base profile. Compared to other systems, Lava stands out not only due to its consistent profile depth of only 77 millimetres, but also because of the uniform appearance of the windows and doors.
Whether it's highly-insulated smoke protection or fire resistance class F90/T90, with Lava, Hueck always works with a standard profile depth of 77 mm. Across the whole series, the same base profile is used for all fire and smoke protection requirements and any potential modifications are made using connecting sleeves. As in all Hueck systems, the extensive use of the same parts and matching installation steps for all variants of the Lava modular system are an integral part of the product philosophy.
The fire-protection construction offers generous clearance dimensions in single and double sash variants. Even in the highest protection class, the small profile depth gives the construction a filigree appearance. Lava is also currently the only T90 aluminium fire protection door on the market to have been tested and certified for use with the more elegant barrel door hinges. As in all its systems, Hueck engineers have also equipped the fire-protection system with the best in heat insulation properties. As such, with up to 1.6 W/m2K, the best Uf values can be realised with the highly heat-insulated Lava fire and smoke protection construction. For the doors, that allows UD values of up to 0.96 W/m2K.
For Lava doors even multiple locks are certified up to resistance class T90. Moreover, all Lava constructions have not only been tested according to German safety standards, but according to European, too.
